Once the order is part of the connected workflow, Handyman can support the field service process from planning and execution to time, materials and documentation, while relevant information can be transferred back to Uniconta as the work progresses.

Yes. The Handyman integration with Uniconta can support workflows based on either Sales Orders or Projects, allowing the integration to fit different ways of organising service work in Uniconta.

The two scenarios use different mappings for orders and cost elements, while Handyman provides the field service workflow for planning, execution and documentation. This means organisations can connect Handyman with the Uniconta setup that best reflects how their service business is structured.

Service work is carried out and documented in Handyman, where technicians can register the time, materials and other information related to the job. Once the work is completed, relevant information can be transferred back into the business process in Uniconta.

When an order is approved in Handyman, the integration supports automatic invoice creation in Uniconta. This creates a more direct path from completed field work to invoicing and reduces the need to transfer information manually between the service organisation and the ERP system.

Items and relevant stock information are transferred from Uniconta to Handyman, giving the service organisation access to the material information needed for field service while Uniconta remains the source for this data.

Stock information is updated periodically rather than synchronised in real time. In the standard integration, store content from Uniconta is transferred to Handyman on a nightly basis, helping keep the information available in Handyman aligned with Uniconta.

Uniconta and Handyman have different but complementary roles. Uniconta manages the core ERP processes around customers, items and stock, orders or projects, financial processes and invoicing. Handyman extends these processes into field service, providing the specialised tools needed to plan, manage, perform and document service work.

In Handyman, service organisations can manage service orders, technicians, equipment and service contracts, while capturing time, materials and documentation as part of the work in the field. Equipment and service contracts are specifically handled within Handyman's Service Management functionality.

The integration connects the two, allowing each system to focus on what it does best while relevant information moves between ERP and field service.

The integration between Handyman and Uniconta is a standard integration built on established APIs and integration technologies. It uses the Handyman REST API together with Azure serverless components for the integration logic and the Uniconta C# library for communication with Uniconta.

Where supported, changes can trigger data exchange through Handyman internal messaging and Uniconta Webhooks. For information where Uniconta does not provide webhooks, scheduled processes are used instead. This allows the integration to automate data exchange while using the appropriate update method for different types of information.
